Edgeworth is in the top 50 ‘supercharged’ suburbs in Australia

We’ve always said property in our area will significantly increase in value, and now it’s official – according to the latest Price Predictor Index (PPI) research from specialist property website hotspotting.com.au. the Newcastle and Lake Macquarie region is named as one of the 50 ‘supercharged’ suburbs in Australia.

The website’s creator and property expert Terry Ryder told news.com.au the top 50 areas on its list are likely to deliver strong price growth in the near future.

He said these ‘supercharged’ suburbs often exist in clusters where a range of different factors have made them great places to buy.

“Generally these suburbs exist in places where the economy is strong,” he said.

The Newcastle economy is strong.

With the NSW Government investing more than $650 million to deliver public spaces, light rail and a new public transport interchange into the area, it’s attractive for businesses and people alike.

And these people need somewhere to live.

We’ve seen a lot more interest in this area over the past year or so, so we’re not surprised at all our area has made it to the top 50 supercharged suburbs.

The report highlights the City of Newcastle as having had very strong price growth (many suburbs have risen 20 per cent or more in the past 12 months). While the report says the momentum has shifted to Lake Macquarie and locations in the nearby Hunter Region, we’re experiencing a very strong interest in some of Newcastle’s outer suburbs.

Many people are keen to maintain a manageable commute to Newcastle, but want to enjoy a lifestyle away from the city. As a result, more land is being given the go ahead for development and hot on the market is Heartwood Estate in Edgeworth.

This attractive 115-lot subdivision will be ideal for anyone looking for a cosy country lifestyle close to schools, major and local shops and transport. Edgeworth is also superbly located near to the M1 Freeway going north and south.

Lot sizes vary from 315m² to 700m², so depending on whether you’re a family, business couple or you’re retired, there are lots suitable for 3 or 4 bedroomed properties with a garage, and ample space left over for a great back yard for entertaining, areas for the kids or to enjoy a manageable garden!

Plus there are some great land and house packages available too.
